DAVID PARKER ACMA CGMA
David Parker is a fully qualified Chartered Management Accountant, qualifying in 2003. He has been married to his childhood sweetheart, Helen, since 1999, who he met at Sixth Form college. He has two beautiful daughters, Annabelle and Georgina.
David is extremely passionate about small businesses, having grown up in a small business as a child, starting and running his own businesses, experiencing the highs and the lows which most business owners face at some point.
David moved to London early on in his career, working for some of the most successful companies in the world. During this time, he developed exceptional skills in financial controls and implementation. This culminated in being handed the lead in a project to overhaul the entire accounting and management reporting system for the Group. This reduced reporting times from one month to less than three days after month end.
During David's time working for big companies, he was fortunate enough to gain support from his Employers to study towards the CIMA qualification (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). He qualified in 2003 which opened the doors to many opportunities.
In 2007 David experienced being made redundant. This turned out to be a positive experience and gave the push needed to start up his own accountancy practice in the Isle of Man. The concept was to provide a fixed fee service to small businesses and was the first in the Isle of Man to introduce online accountancy. The business has been very successful winning multiple accolades and is the benchmark for small business accountancy in the Island.
A second Purple Accounts office was opened in Stockton Heath, Warrington, Cheshire in 2013 and Padgate, Warrington in 2019. It works with a huge array of local small businesses of all sizes, predominantly helping business owners to stay on top of accounts, bookkeeping, payroll and taxes.
